Seven Seas is changing its format! As I'm currently very busy
with my day job, I no longer have the time to publish a new issue
every month. As of February 2005, Seven Seas Magazine will be
published on a bimonthly basis. This year it is due to be published
in February, April, June, (possibly August), October, and December.
I hope not to lose my little magazine's faithful readers and
writers! Please come back and enjoy!

Seven Seas is going on summer hiatus for three months! There
will be no June, July, and August issues. The September issue will
be published on September 18 (yes, that's right, not the 15th, but
the 18th!).
I will be traveling during the summer months, both for business and
for pleasure, and I won't be able to work on new issues. I'm sorry!
BUT: Seven Seas will continue to be open for submissions.
So, submit away--and I'll "see" you all in September! |

The October issue features the very first Seven Seas Personal
Essay Contest! You are invited to participate!
Furthermore, you can now find a Google Search function at the bottom
of each page which searches within the Seven Seas site! It will be
easier from now on to find essay reviews that may have been written
on your essay (just enter your name or the title of your essay) or
anything else you might be looking for on this site. Remember
though, Google takes a while to index new pages. If the review on
your essay is brand-new, Google won't find it yet. |

Seven Seas
Magazine is going on hiatus! Since I will be travelling
during the month of July and a few days in August, there will be no July 15th and August
15th issues. Sorry! Seven Seas will
be back on September 11th.
The September issue will be the only edition with a theme, which is, as you may
have guessed, "September 11". I am still looking for submissions for
that issue: anything 9/11 related--your memories of the day, how you
lived through it (and after), how you feel about it a year later... The
October issue will be "back to normal" and you can submit essays on
any topic you like.
Submissions (on any topic) will not be responded to between July 1 and August 15th. I hope
for your understanding and I apologize for the inconvenience. Please stay
faithful to Seven Seas!

April 27,
2002
Well, now--I moved the Seven Seas site to a different server. I am now looking forward
to a trouble-free webhosting experience. All e-mail addresses
and submission forms are working again!
|
 | April
24, 2002 ATTENTION PLEASE!
Seven Seas is
currently experiencing e-mail problems! Please
resend your e-mails to "xyz
e-mail address" [no longer valid].
If you have sent any submissions or essay reviews since
April 16--please
submit again, using the forms.

Seven Seas now
has an archive section, a site reviews page, an essay reviews page, a
"get notified" form, a "tell-a-friend" form, and an
essay submission form. Please check out our new site
features!

The editor currently struggles
with moving homes and a recent hard drive crash. Please excuse any delayed
answers to your submissions, queries, and questions--I'm swamped!
Plans for the coming
issues include an archive section (which, in March, will consist of a, thus
far, "lonely" February issue), a readers' reviews section (which
we will launch if and when we have received enough reviews on the February
essays), and a feedback section for general praises, complaints, and
comments about the Seven Seas site.
Among other ideas, long term
plans include a subscription format as well as an automated response system
that lets you know that your e-mails have landed in our inbox.
